May 20, 2012 – Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet, SC

Well, after talking about this for years, we finally got to go to Brookgreen Gardens.  The weather report called for rain all day, but as you can see from the pictures, the weather man was wrong (shocker!).  This garden is as much about statues as it is flowers, which is a bit different.  Don got an awesome picture of a butterfly feeding itself from a flower and a dragon fly doing the same.  The alligator kills me because he and the turtles were just sitting there together.  I guess he was full.  Anyway, it is a beautiful place if you ever get the chance to go.

Well if we can’t be there then your blog is the next best thing to being there. Like your new mode of transportation as well. Where to next?

We were worried about the weather reports there. Glad to see you were able to enjoy the day. Don and I have been there many times and always enjoyed seeing the beautiful nature. Loved the pictures. Anxious to hear about the restaurants – hee hee.
