June 3rd & 4th, 2012 – Big South Fork NRRA, KY and TN

We drove a little over an hour from Cumberland Gap and stayed at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area which is in Kentucky and Tennessee.  The first picture shows the Big South Fork River.  We hiked to two beautiful arches (we put ourselves in the picture so you can see how big they are.)   These are amazing.  You expect to see these things in Utah, but not in Tennessee.   The last picture is FYI – we saw the sign in Oneida, Tennessee.  We have no idea what it is, but it is June 8th and 9th in case anyone wants to come check it out.

  1. Don and Judy

Love all that you are sending – both the pictures and the writing. Keep them coming so we can keep up with where you are. This morning when we walked we noticed that ‘your’ Rose of Sharon blooms are gorgeous.

We are back from Vegas, Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon and I can’t wait to find time to write my story on the trip. We ended up going to California so Debbie could stick her big toe in the soil there… hee hee! We had a wonderful trip and both Deb and Wade loved it all. The sunset on the Canyon was just awesome. I have 291 pictures and Wade and Debbie took near a thousand so you would not want us blogging you!

    • Glad you had a great trip. You guys sound like Don when it comes to pictures. Believe me, it is difficult to get down to five pictures for each blog.
