July 25th, 2012 – Phillies Baseball – Philadelphia, PA

We have moved to a campground in New Jersey near Philadelphia.  Our camper backs up to a farm and they have a very cute baby cow.  These cows are literally 10 feet from the camper.  They are fun to watch.

We went to the Phillies game.  It was a beautiful day – low humidity and in the low 80s.  The best part about this stadium is that it smells like Philadelphia Cheese Steaks.  We have been waiting to get to Philly to have one, so we did.  It was pretty good, although we are still going to get one in downtown Philly.  The next best thing about the stadium is it is not right downtown so parking is very easy.  We kept our streak alive of helping the home team win, although this one was close.

Something funny happened on the first at bat of the game.  Carlos Gomez (on the Brewers) hit the ball over the fence and started trotting around the bases, only to find out when he passed third that the ball was foul.  As you can imagine, the Phillies fans gave him a very hard time.  We felt bad for him.
