September 1st, 2013 – Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, UT

We have been in and out of Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument a good bit of the time we have been in Utah.  It spans nearly 1.9 million acres and it is incredible.  We drove through it for three hours yesterday while we were changing camp sites and I can tell you that God was with us to bring us here safely.  The scenery just draws you to look at it and both of us were driving vehicles.  The first four pictures are of Kodachrome Basin State Park which is in the monument.  The last four are from the drive.
