September 3rd, 2013 – Goblin Valley State Park, UT

On the way to our next campground, we stopped at Goblin Valley State Park.  The park is full of all these odd shaped stones that were laid 170 million years ago by a vast inland sea.  They are so adorable (those are Leslie’s words).  The first picture shows the valley from the top and the next four show them as they look when you walk among them.  They range in height from 5 to 15 feet.  The last picture shows a butte with some goblins on top that is located on the drive to the valley.
