We have continued our ability to make it rain in places that are experiencing a drought. We really need to charge for these services. Don had a great time getting pictures of clouds though. We took a short walk to Bridalveil Falls (first two pictures).
Where there is rain, however, there is a rainbow and we found a beautiful one at Discovery View. Leslie had to get her picture taken with it to prove that we were there so people would not think we had gotten the picture from the internet.
In the evening we went to a presentation by the leader of the Yosemite Search and Rescue group. Leslie was thinking it was going to be like the tv show Rescue 911 where they told stories of rescues and then showed how well the person was doing. She knew we were in trouble when there was a book called “Death in Yosemite Valley” for sale. The 3 inch book had the story of all 900 deaths that had happened in the park. Nothing like listening to someone tell you about all the things that can, and have, happened to hikers and climbers to make you want to run out the next day and take a hike. Some of it was very interesting though and we did learn a lot
