We debated whether to go back to Lassen for more hiking or to have a more quiet day and go to Burney Falls State Park. We chose the latter. Boy are we glad we did. These falls were amazing! Besides the main falls, there are all these smaller falls where the water is coming out of the cracks between the rock layers. The falls are 129 feet in the center and the water flows at 100 million gallons a day. It was so beautiful to watch the water cascade from all the different places, listen to the sound and feel the cool mist.
