August 22nd, 2015 – Toad River to Sikanni River (British Columbia) – Canada

Today was a driving day.  We had one animal left on our trip list, a bull moose, and we saw him very early.  It was very exciting.  We also saw a caribou that was quite close to the road, until some hare-brained person got out of the car and walked over to him to take a picture.  Lucky for the man, the caribou ran away from him rather than toward him.  It never ceases to amaze us how people do not respect wildlife.

We also saw some more stone sheep that were very kind to be right next to a pull off.  We spent quite a bit of time watching them and the babies.  The 6th picture is for Don’s life long friend Steve.  The first picture is the Sikanni River which is where we spent the night.  The lake is Summit Lake which was a bonus lake right next to the road.  Two more examples of how beautiful the water is here.

Seeing the pictures of the animals reminds me of when we were in Yellowstone. I know you loved seeing them all and I love the water pictures.

    Hi Leslie,

Just got back from a visit to my sister’s in Va. I’m catching up on all your travel spots. I love seeing the animals, etc. Too bad about the idiot that scared the caribou. Can’t wait to talk to you when you get back.
