August 26th, 2015 – Robson Provincial Park – Canada

When we were at Athabasca falls yesterday we heard someone talking about Mount Robson and how beautiful it is when you approach Jasper from the west.  We came in from the north and did not see it.  So, we drove 60 miles out and turned around to get the view.  Ok, we are not totally crazy, it was a bit hazy in Jasper, but to be honest, we would have done it anyway.  Don turns into a little boy when he gets around mountains and lakes, so nowhere is too far to drive.

It was a beautiful drive.  Mount Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 12,972 ft.  It is hard to capture in a picture how awesome it is when it comes into view because it is so huge and it really stands out because it is so much taller than the mountains beside it.  We also went by Moose Lake (first two pictures) on the way as an added bonus.
