November 14th and 15th, 2015 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

We had to modify some plans because of a sick puppy.  Don stayed in Arizona with Merlin and Leslie traveled to Philadelphia to see Christopher and Amanda for a quick weekend trip.  It is always nice to be in a big city where you can walk everywhere and we did a lot of waling around.  We spent a lot of time catching up, and had some delicious meals (highly recommend Aya’s Cafe for Mediterranean food).

We attended mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul (the church where the Pope celebrated mass when he was in Philadelphia.)  The church is absolutely beautiful (first 2 pictures).  The fourth pictures shows one of the windows at Macy’s near their apartment.  Too cool to see a big department store with windows decorated for Christmas – just like in the movies.  It was a very quick trip, but we had a great time.
