Today, we left Virginina and headed for Meeeeechigan. On the way we stopped quickly at the New River Gorge National River, which is a unit of the United States National Park Service designed to protect and maintain the New River Gorge in southern West Virginia.
The New River Gorge has some of the country’s best whitewater rafting and is one of the most popular climbing areas on the east coast with over 1,400 established rock climbs. Based on all the trees, the fall foliage has got to be great. We picked up all kinds of information so we can come back and spend some more time on another trip.
