June 7th, 2016 – White Sox vs Nationals – Chicago, Illinois

Well our streak is over.  The home team lost.  We got them off to a very good start, but then it sort of went south.  Another baseball stadium checked off the list though.  Something we were confused about is why the opening of the stadium did not face the beautiful skyline like it does in other cities.  We are sure there is a reason.   If you walked out of the seats and toward the gates to leave, you could get a good view of the skyline though, so we were able to see it.

Before we went to the game, we went to the casino where we are staying.  Leslie was a victim of a lurker.  She played a machine for a while and it took all her money.  She knew the machine was going to pay soon, but did not break her rule about gambling more than $20.  A woman jumped on the machine as soon as she got up and on the second spin it hit big.  Oh well.

At least, the Tigers gained ground on them.

So glad that you felt well enough to go to the game. Sorry they didn’t win. Too bad about the slot machine, but we have the $20 rule too. It usually works. Take care, we’re off tomorrow for Atlanta. See you when we both get back.

The Sox started the season like a house on fire. But now they’re already into the doldrums of summer! I really like Cell One. Too bad they have a hard time drawing fans. Beautiful shots of the skyline. Making me homesick!
