We spent 3 days and 4 nights in beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. We were camping at 8,600 feet and drove more than once to over 12,000 feet above sea level. Absolutely beautiful views. Little bit of altitude sickness, but we knew how to treat it, so we were good. You might notice that there are not a lot of pictures of us below. This would be because it was not easy to get out at the pull offs or we were in shopping somewhere while Don took pictures.
We got to see elk several times which was fun. The most surprising time was when we went to Sprague Lake late one evening and found a mother and baby walking in the lake. We also had a great time looking in all the cool shops in Estes Park. We were totally removed from technology, so that was a nice break. We kicked some butt with our camping cooking – Larry, Sharon and Don made a delicious brie, bacon and caramelized onion pizza on the little Coleman grill. It was excellent! Also, primo toasted marshmallows every night.
