June 5th, 2017 – Washington DC

It was a rainy day so we spent the whole day in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.  We had a great time.  The girls loved the mammals, the jewelry and stones and the mummies.  They also have a great hands on portion of the museum.   We also learned that Bella and Caden can roll their tongues, but we cannot.

Another fantastic way to spend a few days — but I can skip the lessons, I’m an ole tongue-roller from my childhood. The things kids do to amuse themselves. Glad to hear I’m not the only kooky one around. Great pixs of Leslie and the girls. Looks like you made a lot of good memories.

I’m off to PA for an in-law graduation party. If you don’t want to have 4-hour flites, you end-up taking three airplanes. Oh, what a trip this is going to be — a lot of airport people-watching. My in-laws don’t believe my dog-kissing tales. They think they KNOW that their dog never kisses anyone. We’ll see! Where’s Merlin?

Your Washington trip brings back precious memories. We too spent the day at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History with our son Tim. We all enjoyed it so much. I know those granddaughters have sure livened your trip – hee hee. If all goes well – we plan to leave in the morning to visit a friend in Roanoke, Va. Will be back home at the end of the week. Enjoy the trip with your granddaughters!
